Executive Summary (TL;DR)
At Cisco GSX 2026, one message came through loud and clear: AI has moved beyond experimentation and into execution. Organizations are no longer asking whether they should invest in AI. They’re focused on how quickly they can deploy it, scale it, and generate measurable business outcomes.
For service providers and channel partners, that urgency is creating a new challenge. As Cisco continues to evolve its platforms, licensing models, and programs to support AI-driven businesses, customers are looking for ways to keep pace without adding complexity.
The TBX team spent the week meeting with Cisco leaders, partners, and customers and came away with a consistent takeaway: success will belong to the organizations that can simplify change and help customers move faster.
Event Overview & Context
Cisco Global Sales Experience (GSX) brings together Cisco’s commercial and federal sales teams, service provider partners, and channel counterparts for a week focused on where Cisco’s platform and go-to-market strategy are headed next. TBX sent a team to connect with Cisco stakeholders and engage directly with customers.
This year, AI was no longer a future-focused conversation. The discussions centered on real-world execution, including AI-ready infrastructure, data center modernization, automation, security, and the operational requirements needed to support AI at scale.
Another major theme was simplification through platform consolidation. Cisco continues to invest in broader platform strategies while evolving licensing and partner programs. While these changes create new opportunities, they also require customers and partners to navigate an increasingly complex landscape.
Across conversations with customers and Cisco teams alike, one challenge surfaced repeatedly: organizations need to move faster while managing more variables than ever before.
TBX POV: Where We Fit
One of the clearest takeaways from GSX was that technology is rarely the biggest obstacle. More often, the challenge is understanding how to navigate evolving programs, licensing models, procurement processes, and platform strategies while keeping business objectives on track.
That’s where TBX comes in
As Cisco continues to drive platform adoption and AI readiness, customers need partners who can help translate change into action. Our role is not only to understand the technology, but also to help customers make sense of shifting programs, identify the right path forward, and remove friction throughout the process.
Whether it’s navigating licensing transitions, supporting service provider initiatives, or helping customers align investments with business goals, TBX focuses on making complex decisions easier and helping organizations move forward with confidence.
Looking Ahead
If GSX 2026 reinforced anything, it’s that speed has become a competitive advantage.
AI adoption will continue to accelerate, platform strategies will continue to evolve, and customers will continue to face pressure to do more with less. The organizations that succeed won’t necessarily be the ones making the largest investments. They’ll be the ones that can adapt quickly, simplify decision-making, and execute efficiently.
For TBX, that means staying closely aligned with our OEM partners, listening to customer needs, and helping organizations turn industry change into business opportunities.
